Michael Arawn Kjoege, born in Copenhagen Denmark in 1952, now living with a Finnish artist in Helsinki Finland.
Extensive travels to many destinations, where I do my pictures. My own favourite places for “shooting” has for many years been North Wales.
I have been told that I manage to capture “The Spirit of Places”, and if that is so, then my aim is fullfilled. I avoid to have people in my pictures of places, as I want the place to “tell it’s own story”, and to show the landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes as they are ; naked of all life.
Apart from that I do a lot of animal pictures, especially animal portraits. I have been called “animal whisperer”, as I usually get a very close contact/connection with the animals I am portraying, whether they are wild or domesticated animals.
I have worked for a period with a professional stuntpilot, to do aerial shots of people’s homes or their favourite places, and I still do pictures from the air whenever it is possible.
My outlook on humanity, is fairly bleak which I sometimes succeed in showing if I set out to show a feeling or an emotion.
No exhibitions so far. (I'm afraid I'm to lazy)
