Joy of Rain 11 / 365 Kenya Africa
This will always be one of my personal favourite pictures becouse of a very unik experience. Only a few hours prior to this picture, I had taken a lot of pictures, of this elephant. She had grown used to me clicking away I think. I thought it was a very old close to dying animal. It was at the end of the dry season. Suddenly a few drops of rain started falling, and especially she reacted. It was liking giving water to a dying plant....The rain was pelting down, and she was galloping around, tail held high,ears flapping everything signs of immense joy...I stayed where I was clicking away, getting a wonderful serie of her in her joy..suddenly she turned and came galloping back, stopping some 10 meters away, looking me straight in the eyes, still radiating joy and benevolence....then she turned away and walked into the forrest. I was left in the rain with a feeling that she had said " we shared this wonderful moment together, don't forget it"...and I never did .
